Teachers should be more creative in making learning fun. This is the only way that motivates students to stay focused on the lesson/subject. Gaming is one way of doing so. Furthermore, it encourages students to continue learning outside the classroom.
Games are also very useful for learning because they are a great escape from the real world. By this i meant that if one loses, there is no consequences, he could just start the game over and try again. Moreover, one can learn from the previous mistakes and will therefore manage to complete the task.
In my opinion, grades are not useful for the process of learning. By giving grades, you are like telling students that it is impossible to correct mistakes because the grade cannot be changed. On the contrary, games allow students to assess their knowledge for themselves giving them the chance to see what they could/could not understand.
